As a kid, the Fourth of July could seem like the celebration that officially kickstarted summer. Sure, your parents mentioned something about a celebration of independence, but school was finally out and adults were going to let you watch an hour of explosions.

Last night, the Miami Heat beat the San Antonio Spurs 95-88 in Game 7 of the NBA Finals. They were led by four-time MVP LeBron James, who finished with 37 points and 12 rebounds while shooting 12-23 from the field. The win capped off Miami's second consecutive title, the first team to do so since the Los Angeles Lakers completed a three-peat from 2000-2002.

This second title also solidified James as one of the greatest NBA players of our generation. There hasn't been a more successful yet polarizing figure in sports since his arrival on the professional scene a decade ago: He is often depicted in the media and online as a player who isn't "clutch" during big moments.
